Description

The Radeon R7 260X Graphics Card from Sapphire is a computer graphics card that includes Windows drivers and can be installed in desktop computers with PCI Express expansion slots. It can be used for gaming as well as other applications that benefit from or require a dedicated graphics card.

This version of the Radeon R7 260X features a 1150 MHz GPU, and has 896 stream processors that, in addition to acting as shaders to render display graphics, give applications that support parallel processing the ability to perform dozens of simple computations at once. To help move data to and from the processors as efficiently as possible, the card features 2GB of 1650 MHz GDDR5 RAM over a 128-bit memory bus. Because GDDR5 RAM moves data at four words per cycle, the effective memory clock speed for this card works out to 6600 MHz.

The card can be connected to a variety of display types, including computer monitors, HDTVs, projectors, and 3D displays. It features an HDMI port, a DisplayPort, a dual-link DVI-I (digital and analog) port, and a dual-link DVI-D (digital only) port. VGA devices can be connected through the DVI-I port using the included DVI to VGA adapter. This card is able to drive displays with up to 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution through the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

Popular API Support
Supports DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3, AMD Mantle, AMD App Acceleration, and other APIs to allow compatible, GPU-aware software to benefit from GPU acceleration. This provides better graphics rendering and in the case of parallel processing, helps shift some of the computational workload off your computer’s CPU for better system performance
Enhanced Unified Video Decoder 3 (UVD 3)
Offloads much of the processing involved in decoding Blu-ray DVDs from the CPU to the Radeon R7 260X Graphics Card to help your computer run cooler and quieter
Combine GPUs With CrossFire
AMD CrossFire technology allows you to combine two GPUs in one machine to extend the total processing power of your system. A CrossFire-enabled motherboard is required
AMD Eyefinity 2.0
It is possible to connect up to a total of six displays via the DisplayPort output when employing Multi-Stream Transport (MST) hubs or using DisplayPort 1.2 devices that have daisy-chaining capability
TriXX Utility
Utility software allowing you to tweak the card’s settings to achieve optimal performance in whatever application you choose to use it with
Image Processing Features
Applies anti-aliasing and other image enhancement filters designed to render smoother, more natural looking graphics. These include:

  • Multi-sample anti-aliasing (2, 4, or 8 samples per pixel)
  • Up to 24x Custom Filter Anti-Aliasing (CFAA)
  • Adaptive super-sampling and multi-sampling
  • Gamma corrections
  • HDR anti-aliasing
  • Super AA anti-aliasing when using two cards with CrossFireX
Dolby Audio Support
Capable of providing 7.1-channel surround audio as well as Dolby TrueHD and Dolby DTS-HD Master audio when connecting to devices that support audio playback via the HDMI or DisplayPort outputs
AMD PowerPlay Power Management Technology
Automatically regulates GPU power consumption, reducing the card’s power consumption to close to nothing whenever possible, and shutting down any additional graphics cards added via CrossFireX when not needed
AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture
Features a 28nm core architecture designed to increase efficiency by putting more transistors in less space. In addition, this architecture has been engineered so that it is capable of performing many of the processing tasks that previously could only be handled by a computer’s CPU
Quad Data Rate (QDR) GDDR5 RAM
Because GDDR5 RAM can transfer up to four words per cycle, as opposed to one word per cycle with traditional RAM, the effective data rate is quadrupled, allowing this card to process data transactions as quickly as if it had a 6.6 GHz memory clock speed
